tomorrow will be 2 weeks, how long of back log did they think they had to get to your boat?

They had originally told us 3 weeks just to look at it, so I was surprised when they called so quickly saying it was the starter. We gave them the go-ahead to put that in about 10 days ago now I think. Gonna call today and see what they have to say, will update here as soon as I hear anything.


Edit: They are finishing up the starter today; then it's on to driveability issues....

Update:

Got some pretty good news. It appears that after rebuilding the distributor she fires up and runs pretty well; after a while it floods and dies. They're going to rebuild the carb to fix this issue and we should have it back by the end of this week. Approximate total: $1000. Definitely could've been worse; I'll make sure to post pics when we get her back and cleaned up!


Edit: We still don't have the boat back. Turns out it needed some lower unit work too. It's been two months since we bought it and haven't even gotten it on the water yet. One of these days I'll have enough money to not have to buy a 27 year old boat.... :roll:
