Labor Day Weekend... You'll note, some people wearing their life jackets... No, it's not because they're trying to be safe boaters (they are, but can be without the PFDs), it's because, in the Corps of Engineers infinite wisdom for our lake, to attempt to prevent further deaths, they came up with a 5 boat tie up rule (not law)... We are not allowed to tie more than 5 boats together without a permit. Said permit is free, and relatively easy to obtain, however, with a permit, all subjects on boats in the tie up, must wear their PFD's.. So, when some of these pics were taken, a Corp boat was headed into the cove, as soon as they leave, the PFD's come back off. Normally, we don't mess with the permit, and tie as many boats as we have together, and if they come in, split them up into 5's as they're coming in... As soon as they leave, we pull them back together... It's a dumb ass rule, and the poor saps that have to enforce it, generally don't like it any more than we do. This weekend, we didn't want to have to deal with splitting up, so we just played their game....

Knats...
