Since I have the boat out of the water, I figured I'd show it off. Just finished the 3M restoration products (Compound, Finesse II, Marine Wax. They worked great. Never figured out the fuel line replacement. I'll have that done at the end of the season when I get the bellows replaced. Craig C. 2003 248, VP 5.0 GXi DP ==*== |

Looks great! Nice truck also. I just have a few more minor details to get done on mine before I post up similar pics. |

Nice, looks like you take good care of her! Question, I've been trrying to post pics of my 248, Don't know how to make the file small enough to post. How did you get such large pics posted? |

How did you get such large pics posted? I use image tags and refer to pics on my website (iDisk). Do you have your own website? If not, I can store them for you and then you can just reference them with an image tag. You can also use services like photobucket.com. I don't really care for them since there is either money required or major spamage ... or both. If you would like for me to store them for you for a while, send me an email. Craig C. |

Nice boat!!! How is towing a 248? Mine is liftkept at my house in Cape Coral, Fl but I would love to take it up north for a vacation or so. What would be the smallest car / truck? I drive an Audi S4 with a 340 HP V8, but I think that car sits a bit low so I'd have to borrow a truck... |

Wanna come over and work on mine? I just uncovered mine after it's been sitting in the back under the cockpit cover, to find out that wasps have made it their new home (built a nest on the back of my rear seat) and they don't seem to want to leave.... I am SO Fing ticked off right now.. |

My personal opinion after pulling this boat from Pueblo Colorado to Dallas Texas, is I wouldn't attempt it with any less of a truck than I pulled it with. 3/4 ton diesel. The piece of mind of knowing that you can pull and stop no-matter-what is priceless. Craig C. |

I was able to extricate the nest and fortunately it did no damage to the vinyl (color me amazed!) I am leaving the cover off tonight to let it ventilate and hopefully these moronic hornets will get the idea and go away. I've already sprayed raid. |

I have tried to pull with the wifes 1/2 ton tahoe (rated to pull 8,500 lbs), it could pull it on the flat land, but hills, forget it!!! If your going to pull at sea level and flat land, a properly equipt 1/2 ton may get you by. Just exercise caution and use common sence. |

My Hemi 1500 (which is technically a weight class II in PA, so I'm legal....) does pull the Vista but on hills it's rough! There's a 9% grade comming back from the launch, she goes from 60MPH to 45MPH in a hurry ![]() |
