My V298 has a set of dual trumpet electric horns that won't both blow at once. If I wire just one of them (either), it works but when both are wired in, I only get a sound at the horn like it wants to blow but can't.

I've heard that they take a lot of amps and have assumed that not enough amps are available to make them both blow.

Are there any adjustments inside the (Sea Choice) horns that can be made?

Lots of people have promblems with their horns on Vistas. Seems the wire ran to the horns is too small. I ended up running 10 gauge wire from the breaker panel to the switch, and then to the horns, and problem fixed. In the meantime, I moved the horns up to the arch. Been working ever since.

Thanks a bunch. Your feedback makes perfect sense.

It'll be interesting running new wire. I think I'll have to take the ceiling and/or galley cabinets down just to find the wire. My other option as you mentioned may be to move them altogether.

Thanks again!

The water intrusion kills the horns. I took mine apart (screw on back under aei sticker) than a small socket wrench will open up the horn to see if you can file the contact or just scrap it. I bought a replacement horn from a local autozone for 18 bucks and put it in one horn for now (I have dual's) until I can hear how its sounds before I do both.
