Ok anyone with a 348 Vista model 2005 or newer with the Crusader Inboard setup? Or same hull design, 358, etc.
Trust me I understand wind, tide, fuel, tabs, bottom growth, and how much crap we have on the boat all contribute to how much speed we get.
Our bottom is clean, and doesn't seem to matter too much on how much fuel, water, or how much crap we have on the boat, the numbers are way off compared to what the Four Winns Specs are.

I had also sent in all my gauges to Faria and re-calibrated to make sure that all the gauges were spot on.

I would really like to hear from people with the exact same setup, and see what your RPM and speed usually is.
WOT is 5200 as Crusader Specs and have seen almost 40MPH, very lightly loaded, which is what the specs state. So seems to me these are the correct props. And with taking the idea of 75% WOT for cruise speed, that is 3900 RPM which is spot on when conditions are right of where I run. Only thing off is the speed. According to the specs says I should be getting about 10MPH more than I currently am.

To me, seems like the boat runs best and is happy when in calm conditions with tabs 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down, and running at 4000RPM's. 3800RPM would be the lowest I run, if I am with the tide and wind, otherwise below 3800RPM, seems the boat is struggling. Most of the time I run at 4000RPM, and seems like all is happy with the world at that magic RPM, just wish I was getting the speed the specs state.

This is my setup....
ACME 18x25 props
Crusader 6.0 Engines
Transmission 2.51:1
RPM 4000
Speed 21-24 MPH depending on conditions

Can anyone else please report their crusader setup and if they are getting any better speed?
According to the book with these props I should be getting the same speed around 3000 RPM.
Specs show
3000RPM - 23MPH
3500RPM - 29MPH
4000RPM - 33MPH

Hope to hear from you Crusader inboard owners!
Thanks!
Chris

ALSO, if anyone has a fuel flow system setup. Could you provide numbers of what you are burning at what RPM's? I do not have a fuel flow system set up on my 348 yet. Hopefully in the future, but very curious to see what we are actually burning. From my very rough calculations. Seems we are somewhere around 30GPH at 4000RPM. Hoping to get some confirmation on what others with Crusaders are burning.

Yes, I've seen this thread. I have nothing to add.

Bill, so does that mean that your RPM's and speed match mine?

And what are your fuel flow readings, as I think I remember you saying you installed them.
