Well get prepared to get a bit beat up because you will have to squeeze yourself in next to the engine the bolts go up into the block, there are 2, I think they are 9/16th if I recall correctly. If its the newer smaller starter they are about 10 lbs but the old large Delco style direct drive starter are HEAVY like 20 lbs. I've done that job like 3 times over the years. I use an old seat cushion to lie on and move the battery out of the way. Make sure to disconnect the neg cable first. I now use the ARCO permanent magnet gear reduction units they are much lighter easier to install and crank it over faster. You must use their bolts though.
