Thought I'd share some images of my new Dunbier, tandem trailer.
I can launch & load the boat with ease & the Bimmer isn't even anywhere near the water.

we have been using roller trailers for years, where I am located there is a 7-8 foot change in water depth from low to high tide. At some shallow ramps you could not launch/retrieve your boat if you had a bunk trailer. I have a single axle Load Rite with 24 rollers...
You just drive up far enough to reach the winch strap and hook it up, to keep it from rolling back. And on a roller it will roll back. I drive up, leave it idling in gear, take a line that I have looped on one front cleat, then throw the line round the winch post and tie it off to the opposite cleat. Next I take it out of gear, shut of the engine and trim up. That allows me to get the winch strap without the boat rolling back
I find the brake systems on the Euro and Aussie trailers interesting, they have surge brakes but use cables instead of hydraulics (drum brakes right?) This does make sense to me since the main problem with hydraulic trailer brakes is water (esp salt water) getting in and seizing up both drum wheel cylinders and disc calipers. With purely mechanical operation you might have less trouble.

They are cable/ mechanically operated discs, which are braking the forward axle.
