What is everyone paying for replacement isinglass panels? I got quote to replace my front and two side pieces the other day and it seemed a bit high.

i just replaced mine with poly carbonate, WOW it's perfect vision through it like looking through a glass window, but not cheap.
I originally paid about $500 for strata glass for the front of our 328 Vista about 4 years ago

Was that $500 for just replacing the glass or making a whole new panel? How much was the poly?

$500 for complete new from with sunbrella. The poly carbonate was an extra 500 this time around from the standard isinglass. The issue with the polycarbonate is it must lie flat when not in use. it will not fold or roll, it's more like plexi glass and you need to find the right people that can work with it

Wow! You guys got some deals. I had a quote to have just the two front side pieces 3 or 4 years ago and it was $350 each. The current quote for remaking the front windshield piece and the two side pieces is well over 2K.

The original pieces didn't fit all that well so I am hesitant to order from FW.

I would Love to do this, just can not justify it. And I spend Some silly money on my boat the main reason I dont, no Genny and planning on selling in a year or 2.... need a genny

He is not the cheapest, but he is excellent at what he does, the top turned out amazing and his attention to detail fit and finish is far better than other local canvas guys. the whole top is an upgrade from the sea mark sunbrella material to the poly carbonate glass.
I plan on keeping the boat for the foreseeable future. I love the layout. Been on some 37' rinker with less space than our 328

Well I'm getting a price from another place that I had do some repairs a few years back. We will see. If they aren't any cheaper I may go with the FW panels and see if I can do something with the poles/frame to make them fit better.

I think the problem with the original panels is the forward bow is too short. If it was just a little longer it would push the front edge of the top up and take the slack out of the front panels.

Was quoted these same prices from the dealer. I'm going to give them a shot. Just can't justify paying 4-5 times more for custom pieces.

They must be different. The part numbers are different. I'm still waiting on a call back with the final numbers.

So I ordered the panels and they arrived last week. They look great! Now I just have to put the snaps on.
I have the punch and die style snap tool that I bought to replace some snaps on a pontoon cover.. Hopefully it works on these.
What is the best way to make the hole for the snaps in the panels?

One way is to use an awl or ice pick because it does not cut the fabric or webbing fibers. You might look at youtube or other online canvas "how to" sites for more info. A while ago I saw a youtube video where the installer used some "locator snaps" to fit the panels to the boat. Sailrite has these: https://www.sailrite.com/Quick-Fit-Pin- ... ing-System
These locator snaps were the normal cup or female snap with a maybe 3/4 to 1 inch long point like an ice pick or finish nail. Install these locator snaps, hang the canvas panel in place and press the canvas onto these locator snaps. Then use the resulting hole to install the permanent snaps. Make sure that each panel will match up to its adjacent panels. Hope this helps.
