There are a few options but one is to add a good depthfinder/gps and just use the GPS speed the other is to get rid of the all in one gauges and put in a conventional gauge panel, then you can use a water pressure speedo or a GPS speedo whatever you want. I fixed my old water pressue speedo (just replaced the pick up on transom and over about 10 mph it reads pretty close to the GPS speed on my Garmin. If I was going to keep the boat a while I'd probably upgrade the gauge panel to a conventional one where you have individual gauges.
