I haven't been on the water since last Labor Day Weekend. As I write this it is Wednesday morning and I am already pining for 3PM Friday to get here so I can start a nice long weekend at the lake to start the boating season.

This is going to take entirely too long. Can anyone help me?!!!

Sure I can help. Later this afternoon on your way home from work, stop and pick up a number of your favourite adult beverages, you'll need some for your long weekend anyway so it's not a wasted stop.

Get home, open said beverage, repeat, repeat, Thursday morning will come quicker this way. Thursday evening just repeat Wednesday evenings advice.

Whoa Friday is here and you're ready to go.

Some moderation is key here, you need to find a balance. :)

Have fun and enjoy.

Mike.

Well, I really cant help you because I have been out on the boat SEVERAL times this year. We dont hang up the towel after labor day (even when we had a bow rider). We boat until the kids think its too cold to get in, which is usually sometime into October.

Why did you give it up so quick last year and what are you waiting for this year?

There are differences between boaters and boat owners - at least down here in Texas.

Boaters - They boat all year long as long as water temps permit, and even later just out enjoying a surprise warm fall/spring day.

Boat Owners - The boat between Memorial Day and Labor Day. That is it.

Been on the water since tax day passed, but my boat is not cooperating! Hope it's running by Friday, so though a few days away, at least you know you are on the water! I will not know till Thursday night Friday morning if she is running :(

Is the boat at the home ? if so, crack a few ( or maybe many ) cold ones, put on some sun screen ( it's going to be sunny and hot there this weekend ) and crank the boat tunes.

The night before we tossed ours in the drink I think it took 7 beers to wipe down the interior, and vacuum the carpet.

I'm heading out to the water this weekend also....original plans of heading to the lake fell through due to no place to stay....so we are heading to a bud's place near the coast......means the SS will be staying inside the storage building:( She's a freshwater boat only....this was to be trip number three for the season, but looks like i will have to wait another week..........water was perfect last weekend and hate to miss out........if i can manage some pursuading i may try for a lake run on Sunday if we get back from the Coast in time.

I guess I'm not a boater then.

In previous years we've boated into October but my son's sports start up after Labor Day Weekend and last through most of May. It isn't by choice, just by necessity. The lake is 2 hours away so we get there as much as we can.

Plus, my wife is the type who is cold when it is under 70 degrees out so she doesn't get much out of being on the water if she's not in her bikini.
