The warning horn under the dash has a constant ticking noise. It's not the alarm self-test "chirp" when you turn the key on, it's not the alarm tone noise for overheating or low/no oil, it's just a constant ticking once running. It used to stop if boat was put in neutral. After a new alarm was installed the voltage gauge shows a spike in voltage while under power but whenever the tilt/trim button on the control handle is pressed, the ticking actually stops and the voltage drops too. Once the tilt/trim button is released, the ticking starts again and the voltage raises again within a few seconds. Have since replaced the rectifier and the older battery and nothing fixed it. Disconnecting the "low oil" tan wire at the bullet connector in the OB engine, which runs from the oil sensor unit in the oil tank, does make it stop ticking. Replace that sensor? Any thoughts from anyone?
