I think the best way is to remove them and trace the part numbers.
It shouldn't be as big an issue for trailered boats unless they spend a substantial amount of time in the water.
Should be aluminum for salt water, zinc for brackish and magnesium for fresh water.

I thought the later anodes actually have cast in letters indicating what metal they are made of ( Zn = zinc, Al = aluminium and Mg = magnesium)?

The original owner had her in the water but I'm trailering her now. Will it get worse or just stay the same as it's not sitting in the water all the time?

I just got new Zinc anodes for my SX drive. These are genuine Volvo Penta anodes, and they are not marked as to the actual material, but VP have a different Part No for each of the 3 material options. Compared to the Al ones I took off, the Zinc ones weigh lots more - around 2 pounds each!

I just checked some old VP drive anodes that I never threw away; no cast in material identification. But some new VP spare ones ones for the transom shield do have "Zn" marks!
